Penguin of the day!

Emperor Penguin

Emperor Penguins are the tallest and heaviest species of penguins reaching 48in tall and up to 99lbs. Black dorsal side and head with a white belly makes these penguins very easy to distinguish. These penguins breed during the Antarctic winter and up to 70 miles to breeding colonies. Another very interesting fact about Emperor penguins is that they have monogamous relationships there whole life.

Penguin of the day!

Snares Penguin

The Snares penguin has to be one of my favorite types due to its yellow stripes above its eyes. These penguins can be found on islands off of New Zealand. Like most other penguins there main diet is krill, fish, and squid. They live in colonies and migrate together westward in the Tasman sea.

Penguin of the day!

Adelie
Adelie penguins are most commonly found on the Antarctic coast, and small islands near there. Theses penguins grow up to be nearly 75cm tall and cal weigh up to 12lbs. To tell these penguins apart from others is there long tail and shorter beak. Typical feasting for Adelie's tends to be krill, silverfish and squid. These penguins on average migrate 13,000 kilometers yearly to there breading.
